We are looking for a commercial Strategic Marketing Lead US

Scope of the job

The US Strategic Marketing Lead at Galapagos US will be the commercial voice in the company to drive the pre-launch activities for a commercial launch in the US of our internal pipeline projects with highest priority on our CAR-T oncology portfolio.


Your role

  • Identify and quantify mid- to long-term commercial priorities for our US oncology business (main focus CAR T oncology/hematology opportunities)
  • Define GTM model for the US
  • Define the commercial US site strategy for the PMU CART
  • Collaborate with other global functions like Insights, Value and Market access and Medical Affairs to develop a fully integrated commercial value proposition
  • Evaluate future BD opportunities in the space of Oncology together with the global commercial and the BD team to represent the view of the US
  • Contribute to the Global strategic plan with the Global cross functional team
  • Engage and influence internal and external key stakeholders to drive initiatives
  • Give informed guidance on launch indication order and priority from a US perspective to the global team
  • Perform in close collaboration with global team relevant Market Research studies
  • Lead conversations with customers on relevant topics

Job requirements

Who are you?

  • At least several years of strategic marketing experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech
  • Global and Local successful experience required in different commercial roles
  • Oncology-hematology experience is a must, CAR-T experience is a nice to have
  • Strong US knowledge in the different aspects like regulatory, market access, commercial setting
  • A multitasker keeping his/her cool when confronted with large amounts of work in a challenging and changing/agile environment
  • Experienced in successful cross-functional teamwork including working with a global team
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment and operates with confidence in ambiguous situations
  • Able to set priorities, develop and manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
  • Operates on both strategic and operational level
