For our Systems and Technology team, we are looking for a highly motivated (Senior) Business Analyst. As our team is primarily based in Leiden, the Netherlands, you are also ideally based near Leiden. Your role

  • Ensure alignment with the overall S&T architecture and strategy by working with your S&T colleagues.
  • Ensure requirements include and adhere towards the applicable regulations (GxP, GDPR) as needed.
  • Represent the business needs in operational meetings to ensure their needs are correctly included and presented.
  • Translate business needs and processes (BPMN) towards IT systems using Jira.
  • Ensure adherence to existing Policies and Procedures (e.g. CSV).
  • Gather feedback from the business stakeholders on how S&T operates and propose possible S&T improvements where needed.
  • Support the S&T Business Partners and ITS Project & Portfolio Managers in managing the Project & Portfolio, Business Case creation and budget.
  • Support in the training of business users in tools and applications developed by our team.

You will work in close collaboration with other departments, the business partners and the external (IT) vendor(s) involved in the development of the landscape for the future.

Job requirements

Who are you?

  • Master's degree in information technology, engineering, a biomedical orientation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years relevant experience supporting and implementing information systems. Relevant experience supporting processes in a pharmaceutical environment is a plus, GxP knowledge is an extra plus.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing projects without direct authority in a consultative, collaborative and team-oriented style where the path forward may not always clear. Good judgment in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work independently, being able to partner on all applicable levels with the user groups.
  • Ability to find sensible system solutions for complex business challenges.
  • Ability to create clear process drawing and/or mockups to guide the business towards a clear understandable solution.
  • Analytical, structured and focused mindset, also when there is chaos around you.
  • Service-oriented with a problem-solving attitude.

At Galapagos, we prioritize your continuous growth and development, fostering a culture of empowerment. Our employees are the driving force behind our mission to lead in pharmaceutical research and innovation.
