We are looking for a (Senior) Technician to join our growing Late-Stage Process Development team.


Scope of the job

As (Senior) Technician you join Galapagos' Process Development team in the Leiden Bio Science Park to help characterize and refine our novel CAR-T cell production processes. You mainly focus on late stage process development, executing experiments to support ongoing process refinement, characterization, and validation to enable late stage regulatory filings. Your work will help to bring our life saving therapies to the patients.


The (Senior) Technician Process Development reports to the Director Late Stage Process Development.

Job requirements

  • BSc or MSc degree in life sciences, biotechnology, or related discipline, preferably with 2 years of relevant industry experience (GMP experience preferred)
  • Experience with primary human cell culture
  • Experience with automated cell processing equipment
  • Ability to execute experiments, aid in data analysis, and write up results in protocols, reports, and presentations
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities
  • Self-driven and can-do mindset, without compromising quality
  • Fluent in English
