We are currently looking for a Senior HR Payroll Specialist for our site in Mechelen (Belgium).

Scope of the role

Are you a payroll expert with a passion for precision and a talent for tackling complex regulations? Join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in ensuring our payroll processes are seamless and compliant. We are looking for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.

 

Your role

  • Ensure Compliance: Lead the charge in accurately and timely executing of the payroll, ensuring full compliance with local laws and regulations.

  • Stay Ahead: Keep up-to-date with Belgian laws and proactively initiate necessary changes in our payroll system.

  • Collaborate: Work closely with Finance and Controlling departments to streamline operations.

  • Be the Go-To Expert: Serve as the primary contact for our Mechelen-based employees for all payroll-related queries.

  • Liaison Role: Act as the local representative for our Center of Excellence (CoE) on payroll benefits, such as mobility, insurances and pension.

  • Drive HR Projects: Contribute to impactful HR projects, including system updates and training programs.

 

You will report directly to the International Payroll Lead, also based in Mechelen.

Job requirements

Who are you?

We're seeking a candidate who brings:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of payroll experience. Bonus points for familiarity with Cobra (SD Worx) and SuccessFactors.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Expertise in Belgian tax and social security regulations. Knowledge of Dutch, French and Swiss regulations are a plus.

  • HR Guru: Strong understanding of HR processes.

  • Bilingual Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English.

  • Technical Savvy: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel.

  • Go-Getter attitude: Proven initiative and attention to detail. The ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines timely and accurately.

  • Autonomy: Ability to work independently within a hybrid work environment while also collaborating effectively within team, providing support and back-up as needed.

  • Adaptability: Skilled at navigating and managing change in a fast-paced dynamic setting.

  • Positive Attitude: Bring a can-do attitude that matches our vibrant make-it-happen culture.
