For our QMS team, we are looking for a highly motivated Process Design and Improvement Specialist. You can be based in the EU (Mechelen/Leiden/Basel) or in the US (Princeton/Pittsburgh). 


Your role 

Support the design, improvement and implementation of processes across GLPG:

  • Drive design, improvement, documentation and implementation of processes in support of BPOs by
    • Analysis and evaluation of existing processes and identification of areas for improvement
    • Alignment of processes with business objectives
    • Process design and mapping
    • Development and monitoring of process performance metrics to measure effectiveness
    • Facilitation of workshops and other events to align with process users and task owners
  • Monitor and measure the impact of process improvements across the organization
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions on process improvement methodologies.
  • Contribute to the creation of a culture of continuous improvement within the organization

Quality Management Systems Operations:

  • Documentation and training administration – support of BPOs in the operational implementation of processes through documentation and training
  • User support and issue management – first line support in use of documentation and training systems
  • Inspection support as required

Job requirements

Who are you? 

  • Bachelor's degree in natural sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in process improvement or operational excellence roles, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with data analysis and performance measurement.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and documentation tools.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops and training sessions.
  • Proficiency in English required, additional languages beneficial
