Your role
As Lab Technician, you play a key role in generating high-quality scientific data to support our CAR T cell engineering programs. You will:
Conduct cellular and biochemical assays under guidance of our senior team members
Ensure data accuracy, analyze results for consistency and implement corrective actions when needed
Perform first-line troubleshooting and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
Maintain rigorous documentation and adhere to project timelines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Job requirements
Who are you?
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field
Prior lab or industry experience is required (internships also count)
Foundation in molecular biology techniques such as:
Bacterial transformation and cloning
Mammalian cell culture and transfection
Lentiviral production and transduction
T cell isolation and manipulation
Meticulous, honest and highly organized with strong attention to detail
Able to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks
Flexible and resilient in a dynamic, evolving research environment
Eager to learn new techniques and solve complex problems with limited information
Based in the Pittsburgh area as this is an on-site, lab-based position

Base compensation for this position ranges from $57,600 to $86,400. Actual base compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, qualifications, job-related knowledge, demonstrated skills and geographic location. The company reserves the right to modify base salary ranges at any time.
In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Galapagos’ performance bonus plan. We offer comprehensive and generous benefits and programs to help our colleagues lead healthy lives and to support important moments in life.
