We are looking for a Lab Technician in Pittsburgh/PA


Scope of the job

As member of a research team, you contribute to the technical input of the project and provide technical expertise in molecular cloning, vector design, cellular assays and biochemical readouts to the project team. You design, organize and realize assays in collaboration with senior team members in order to obtain the scientific data required in accordance with the project timelines. You are responsible for the accuracy of the results; analysis of the conformity of the data, identification of gaps and implementation of corrective measures. Results that you report to senior team members are reliable and critical towards own data. Performing independent first-line trouble shooting and identification of improvements are also part of the job.

Collaborating with a scientist, your support is key to achieve the  research goals of the Innovation Team.

Job requirements

  • Master in Life Sciences; 1-2 years of experience in an industrial setting is a clear plus.
  • Expertise in molecular biology, vector design, gene assembling and gene editing.
  • As a team player, you promote an open and supportive climate and a collaborative organization.
  • You are organized and accurate in your work but also flexible towards changing plans.
  • You ensure an organized lab environment allowing optimal data generation.
  • Stress-resistant, you are able to deliver according to planned/changing time lines.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
