We are looking for an ITS Platform Owner, IT4IT – Mechelen, BE



Scope of the job

You will be responsible for the IT for IT tooling (IT4IT), products and services supporting the internal IT organization for the Think, Build and Run phases. You will cover the whole lifecycle of the platforms and manage the daily operations with the managed service provider. You will maintain and evolve the platform architecture, guidelines and operating procedures. You will engage with stakeholders and ensure proper training and tuition in the usage of the platforms. You will verify adherence to compliance policies. You are considered as a change ambassador and trustworthy advisor towards the IT communities.


Your role


    • Take ownership of the assigned platform and ensure the platforms stays in a validated (if applicable) and/or qualified state during the platform's lifecycle. 
    • Ensure the platform continuously supports the IT requirements as set by the BPO and companies’ security, data integrity, data privacy, availability, maintainability, and regulatory requirements (as applicable).
    • Be a core team member of the project implementation teams and support the technical implementation of the platform to ultimately, become the platform expert during operational use of the platform.  
    • Ensure platform User Manuals and platform training are in place if applicable. 
    • Ensure controlled access procedures are in place where applicable.
    • Provide expertise, being the Subject Matter Expert. 
    • Maximize value by identifying and supporting platform improvements. Pro-actively plan, approve and coordinate platform changes and related releases, coming from business and IT requests and/or new platform releases. Align with Unit Lead and Business Partner on budget, resources, and timelines. 
    • Manage interfaces and integrations between the in-scope solutions and other platforms. 
    • Ensures (service level) agreements with related Managed Service Provider (MSP) and manages relation with MSP regarding technical aspects if applicable. 
    • Responsible for the management of the user base with regards to licenses. 
    • Manage (follow-up and communicate) maintenance windows.
    • Support Quality Management in responding to computer system questions during inspections, audit and CAPA follow-up (together with BPO). 
    • Act as escalation level for complaints and major problems.
    • Ensure data backups, archival & disaster recovery (where applicable).

Job requirements

Who are you?

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience
  • A continuous improvement mindset
  • Customer-service oriented with a problem-solving attitude
  • Enthusiastic to work in an international environment, embracing diverse cultures and countries

You have the following technical knowledge:

  • Strong experience with ServiceNow ITSM
  • Familiarity with other ServiceNow modules (e.g. HR)
  • Strong experience with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket,...)Familiarity with life sciences and computer system validation in particular
  • Expert understanding of IT Service Management (ITIL)
  • Strong experience with System Development lifecycle processes
  • Experience with Delivery Methods (Prince 2, Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework, DEVOPS…)
  • Experience with MS Sharepoint and Teams
  • Experience with Test Management tools and automation
  • Experience with documenting standard operating practices, work instructions and manuals
