We are looking for an ITS Platform Owner, Data and BI – Mechelen, BE

Scope of the job
You will be responsible for the global Data and BI platforms. You will cover the whole lifecycle of the platforms and manage the daily operations with the managed service provider. You will maintain and evolve the data governance, platform architecture, guidelines and operating procedures. You will engage with stakeholders and ensure proper training and tuition in the usage of the platforms. You will verify adherence to compliance policies. You are considered as a change ambassador and trustworthy advisor towards the data science and reporting communities.

Your role

• Take ownership of the assigned platform and ensure the platforms stays in a validated (if applicable) and/or qualified state during the platform`s lifecycle.
• Ensure the platform continuously support the business data and business intelligence requirements as set by the BPO and companies’ security, data integrity, data privacy, availability, maintainability, and regulatory requirements (as applicable).
• be a core team member of the project implementation teams and supports the technical implementation of the platform to ultimately, become the platform expert during operational use of the platform.
• Ensure platform User Manuals and platform training are in place If applicable.
• Ensure controlled access procedures are in place where applicable.
• Provide expertise, being the Subject Matter Expert.
• Suggest and support any platform improvements where possible. Pro-actively plan, approve and coordinate platform changes and related releases, coming from business requests and/or new platform releases. Align with Unit Lead and Business Partner on budget, resources, and timelines.
• Manage interfaces & integrations between the in-scope solutions & other platforms.
• Ensures (service level) agreements with related Managed Service Provider (MSP) and manages relation with MSP regarding technical aspects if applicable.
• Responsible for the management of the user base with regards to licenses.
• Manage (follow-up and communicate) Maintenance windows.
• Support Quality Management in responding to computer system questions during inspections, audit and CAPA follow-up (together with BPO).
• Act as escalation level for complaints and major problems.
• Ensure data backups, archival & disaster recovery (where applicable).
• Support implementation of Data security e.g. implement encryption and data masking rules.
• Enables operationalization of Data Governance Board approved requirements or polices as it relates to sources/applications.

Who are you ?

• A Bachelor or Master degree in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least 7 years of relevant experience

• Customer-service oriented with a problem-solving attitude
• Enthusiastic to work in an international environment, embracing diverse cultures and countries

• Expert understanding of data warehouse and business intelligence methodologies and technologies
• Expert understanding of data architecture, data governance and data modelling techniques
• Experience with AWS, Snowflake and DBT from a build and run perspective.
• Familiarity with PowerBI

• Familiarity with Analytics concepts and industrialization of analytical models
• Familiarity with life sciences and computer system validation in particular
