We are looking for a Global External Supply Leader - Leiden, NL; Mechelen, BE
Scope of the job
Overall responsible for external supply operations executed by external suppliers.
Your role
- Manage the supplier relationship of the different external suppliers (contract manufacturers). Act as internal GLPG point of contact for external supply related issues.
- Install and chair fit-to-purpose governances with external suppliers and internal GLPG departments to ensure alignment and effective communication between all stakeholders involved.
- Support Quality Assurance in the GMP compliance of external supplier including the management of complaints, deviations, CAPAs and audits with external suppliers.
- Support technical operation departments in the life cycle management activities involving external suppliers
- Support finance in delivering budget forecasting for external supply activities
- Ensure forecasting and ordering process is performed in line with contractual obligations with external suppliers
- Define and follow-up on external supply KPIs
- Perform selection of new external suppliers and other partners required in the supply chain process
Support in the negotiation of contractual agreements with external suppliers. The Global External Supply Leader works with regional and global supply chain representatives, regional and local technical operations departments, QA, Finance, Procurement and Legal departments
Job requirements
Who are you?
- Master degree in sciences or equivalent by experience
- General knowledge in pharmaceutical supply chain processes
- 5 years of proven experience in working with external suppliers (contract manufacturers) in pharmaceutical business
- General knowledge of GMP requirements
- Supplier negotiation skills
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams
- Ability to actively listen and engage in constructive communication with the different team members.
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent team player
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills required.

Base compensation for this position ranges from USD205.800 to USD382800 gross per year. Actual base compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, qualifications, job-related knowledge, demonstrated skills and geographic location. The company reserves the right to modify base salary ranges at any time.
