We are looking for a Business Partner Data Automation, Associate Director


Scope of the job

Leading the development, implementation and continuous improvements of the Data Management and Analytics Flow Automation (from source through data products to validated dashboards) on the Data Platforms for the Galapagos’ decentralized model.


Your role

  • Develop and implement the data strategy for the primary processes in Galapagos’ decentralized model to enable data driven decision making
  • Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvements of the Data Flows and Control Towers used in the primary processes in Galapagos’ decentralized model, drives planning and execution and manages resources, schedule, financials and scope.
  • Holds the ownership towards the Galapagos functions, vendors and external users (Hospitals, Decentralized Manufacturing Units and Apheresis Units) around data products and dashboards

Job requirements

Who are you ?

Education (add qualification if relevant) & experience:

  • A Master degree in data science, computer science, information technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • +10 years’ experience in developing, implementing and improving Data Management and Analytics in life science field
  • Proven experience in computer system validation and qualification in the life science field
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality and regulatory requirements, particularly in a healthcare or life sciences setting
  • Expertise in leveraging advanced analytics techniques, AI, and ML to extract insights and drive innovation
  • Knowledge of data processing tools such as AWS, Snowflake, DBT, airflow and python are a plus
  • Experience with data analytics and dashboarding tools such as PowerBI, Domino or Spotfire are a plus
